Public transport

Train

  • It takes about one hour to reach Orléans by train (from Paris-Gare d'Austerlitz).
  • When you get off the subway or the RER train in Paris, follow the signs “DEPARTS GRANDES LIGNES”.
  • At the train station, buy a ticket for “Orléans” (Normal price:  20.60 €). Remember to punch your ticket (yellow machine) before you get on the train. You should think about mentioning if you are less than 25 years old when buying your ticket (the price is lower in that case!). Notice that there is no reservation for this route: you buy a ticket and take any train.
  • Please be careful, there are 2 train stations in Orléans: ”Les Aubrais Station" and "Orléans Station". You should get off at “Orléans Station”. If unintentionally, you get off the train at “Les Aubrais Station”, you can reach “Orléans Station” by tramway-line A (one trip: 1.50 €).
